Scriptery

Privacy Policy

What we process

When you paste a video link or upload a file, Scriptery fetches the media, transcribes the audio, and returns the transcript to your browser. Media files are processed in memory and never stored.

Accounts and transcript history

If you sign in with Google we store your basic profile (name, email, avatar) to operate your account, and we save your transcription history, credit ledger and orders so you can access them later. You can delete any transcript from your dashboard at any time. Transcripts created without an account are stored for 24 hours so you can reopen the result page, then deleted automatically. The source video or audio file itself is never stored in any case — it is processed in memory and discarded.

Rate limiting

To enforce the daily free quota we keep counters keyed by your IP address and by an anonymous browser identifier. They expire automatically within 24 hours and are not linked to any profile or other data.

Cookies and local storage

We set no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We do set one first-party cookie ("sc_anon") holding a random identifier, used only to apply the daily free quota to the same browser; it contains nothing about you and is not shared with anyone. Your theme preference is kept in your browser's localStorage and never leaves your device. We will update this page before introducing any advertising.

Third parties

Transcription runs on Cloudflare Workers AI; requests to this site are processed by Cloudflare's network and are subject to Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected on this page.
