How to convert JSON to SRT
- 1Paste your JSON into the box on the left — either a plain array, or an object with a segments array.
- 2Click Convert. Cues are sorted by start time and numbered from one.
- 3Copy the result, or download it as a .srt file.
Which field names are recognised?
start, startTime or from for the start; end, endTime or to for the end; and text for the line. Times can be numbers in seconds or timecode strings like 00:00:01,500. Items missing any of the three are skipped rather than failing the whole file.
My JSON has a different shape — what now?
Reshape it to an array of objects with start, end and text before pasting. Nested structures and per-word timings are not read, because there is no reliable way to guess which level is meant to be one subtitle cue.
