SRT to CSV Converter

Paste an SRT or VTT file and get a CSV with three columns — start, end and text — ready to open in Excel, Google Sheets or a translation tool. Runs entirely in your browser.

Runs entirely in your browser — your file is never uploaded, no account, no limits.

How to convert SRT to CSV

  1. 1Paste your .srt or .vtt file into the box on the left.
  2. 2Click Convert. The first row is a header; every cue below it becomes one row.
  3. 3Download the .csv file and open it in Excel, Google Sheets or your translation tool.

How are quotes and commas handled?

Every field is wrapped in double quotes and any quote inside the text is doubled, following RFC 4180. Line breaks inside a cue are replaced with a space so each cue stays on one row.

Why are the times timecode instead of seconds?

CSV is usually opened by a person, and 00:01:23,500 is easier to scan than 83.5. If you need numeric seconds for code, use the SRT to JSON converter instead.
